Trent Brown, he knew what he was doing on the football field as well. A two-time CFL All-Star. Probably the best former Alberta Golden Bears player I can think of, and by the way, how is he not in the U of A Sports Qualifier? I mean, the guy was a multiple-time All-Canadian. He won a great cup. It was a two-time CFL All-Star, right? It's quite, I don't know, played four years at the university. I don't quite get it, but these days at the university, there's a lot of things I don't get, and frankly, I worry about it. Again, you can text us at 780-451-8800 on the Ashley Fine Floors text line. Only seemed somewhat appropriate if we couldn't get hold of AJ, who I've known for years and years and years. Since this morning, guess who missed his appearance? It was Stacey. Yeah, I have to live with that. I felt shame, not good. Let's go into the Ashley Feinfluer's text line. Still to come on today's show, this is Day in Owner's History. We'll do a crossover with Brendan Escott as well. I do want to mention, keep an eye out for the face-off with Stauff. Apparently it starts tomorrow. Maybe somebody should send me an email on this. I've heard nothing about it, I'm just kidding. You can call and ask me a trivia question if you're chosen on aerial win, two tickets to an owner's pre-season game and two passes that get you into the owner's locker room sale early on fan day. That's interesting. As opposed to our pro-am sports trivia, game day trivia, where I ask you the questions. You get a chance. We used to play Stump the Stauffer back in the day at Moe's Sports Barrel on the city's south side. And we were talking about that last night with Don Irving. We had a mutual acquaintance, Kent who unfortunately is no longer with us, but we had some legendary trivia sessions. Probably for me about 40 pounds ago. Bob Nunez says, if the leaked Oilers jersey is accurate, they are complete blank, say it ain't so. You know, I'm the least, I'm the guy that worries the least, the least about the jerseys. I know there's some people that are jersey guys. I'm not a jersey guy, just the way I am. Bob, did you say you were coming to Westlock this weekend for the Oil Kings game? I am indeed going to Westlock for the game on Sunday. I'm going to watch the first half of the NFL games from 11 to 12.30 and then at 12.30, going to head out from the humble Stauffer downtown condo and make my way out to Westlock to go watch the Evans Oil Kings and the Red Deer Rebels. I find Westlock to be a fine community and I'm very much looking forward to doing this. Bob, can the Oilers send Josh Brown to the moon? See, I would like to see Josh Brown recalled for a game on November the 19th. Maybe look up who the Oilers are playing on November the 19th. You can text us at any time, 780-451-8800. Bob, you think you could get Ryan Whitney on the show? He's quite confident on spitting chiclets in the end of the McDavid era. I have not seen this. I will have to maybe endeavor to reach out to Ryan over. I've been fortunate enough to have been on Ryan's show a few times over the years, including twice during last year's playoff run. Maybe three times. It was three times. It was Vegas, Dallas, and Florida. Here we go. Bob, a legit question. Kaprizov has had one 100-point season and is fairly injury-prone. How is he thinking he is worth more than eight times 16 million in terms of players? He's probably five to 10 in the league, in my opinion. Just my thoughts. What are yours on Penner Pancake? Well, Elliot says the rumor out there is that that camp has turned down those numbers, which surprised me a little bit. Let's just wait and see what ends up happening. Eczema isn't always obvious, but it's real. And so is the relief from Evglyz. Listening to you, Bob, I can't shake what happened with Charlie. Yeah, it was pretty shocking news, to say the least. The video was just awful. No place for that form of violence. You should be able to have political discourse in society. You should. You should be able to discuss things. I don't think there's any debate about it. Bob, what are your thoughts on Matthias Janmark? Will he be a casualty of clearing space? I believe that this job, his job can be done for less. What I would say is, let's just see what happens in training camp and preseason. Sometimes injuries happen. Sometimes guys don't come back as quick as you're hoping for. So we'll play the patient game on Janmark, who, you know, a couple of years ago, started the years down in the minors, right? Was it the 22-23 season? Matthias Janmark started the year in the AHL. Peter from Wainwright says, long time, no texts. Any chance Kaprizov gets back to Russia at the end of his contract? At the end of his contract? Don't know about that. I mean, he's gonna make nowhere near the money. Nowhere near the money. Then you can text us at 780-451-8800. Bob, any Carter Hart buzz? So here's the deal. Judd Moldaver doesn't just represent Conor McDavid. He also now represents Dylan Holloway, and he represents Carter Hart. My guess is that Carter Hart plays in a quiet US market. When he does get the chance to be reinstated by Gary Bettman and the NHL, I can foresee a scenario where Hart ends up potentially in a place like Carolina. Carolina, I can see it. I can see Carolina making sense for Carter Hart. Bob, I completely disagree, says a voice from the past. I completely disagree with the assessments about the Oilers New Jerseys. I like them. Where can I get them? Well, the Oilers store will have them, and so will Pro-Am Sports, I can tell you that. So the voice from the past, I'm gonna have to figure out who that is on the Ashley Fine Floors text line. Bob, cannot believe you just read that text about Charlie Kirk on the air. Huge respect for you, brother. Wow. Well, the reality is it was, it's brutal what happened. It is, there's a CNN radio. You go to the mouth of the line. So the number one story in Edmonton over the last several days has been the Conor McDavid situation. That is an absolute given. We played Mark Carney talking about Conor McDavid earlier today. The number one story in the United States today is the political assassination of Charlie Kirk. That is unequivocally the number one story in the US. It's dominated US mainstream television. Doesn't matter if it's a center-right entity like Fox, a center-left entity like CNBC, CNN these days, not as neutral as it once was. I think we all know that. And you'd be remiss without, it's brutal what happened. It's awful. And it shouldn't happen, right? You should be allowed to have discourse. I know there's some people that don't wanna have that these days. It disappoints me which side of the ledger often doesn't wanna have it. Because it kind of 35, 40 years ago was the other group that
